Weekly Services
SUNDAY 8.00am
Holy Communion (BCP)
This is a short service without hymns. We use the liturgy from The Book of Common Prayer. On third Sundays the service is followed by coffee and a chance to meet other members of the congregation.
sunday 10.30 am
Parish Communion – 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays in the month
We pride ourselves in offering a great mix of traditional and contemporary worship. Our main 10.30 am service of holy communion sometimes includes a robed choir, organ, piano and music group. We are blessed to have 6 different preachers who make sermons relevant and tackle the important subjects of the day and what the bible has to say to help us in everyday life.
FAMILY SERVICE 10.30 AM– 1st Sunday of the month
Our family services are often lively, fun and have good messages for all the family (sometimes using puppets). The music comes from a wide range of traditions and involves our music group and junior choir. Previous services have included a football-themed service, a teddy bear service and an outdoor pet service. The service is about 45 mins and is followed by refreshments.
WEDNESDAY 10.00AM
Holy Communion
On Wednesday mornings we meet in our side chapel for a short service of Holy Communion. We gather in a semi-circle around a nave altar. The minster leading the service will give a short reflection. Coffee is served after the service.
THURSDAY 9.00PM COMPLINE ON ZOOM
Compline (otherwise known as Night Prayer) is a short service at the end of the day. We began meeting on Zoom during the 2020 COVID pandemic and have met ever since. Participants join and leave in silence (we mute everyone on arrival) and you are welcome to switch cameras off if you prefer. For Zoom details see our weekly newsletter (via the homepage).
SATURDAY 9.00AM
9.00am Morning Prayer
We meet in the church on Saturday mornings for morning prayer using Common Worship Daily Prayer. It’s a simple service that includes a psalm, two bible readings and prayers for anything on our hearts. The service lasts about 20 minutes.
