Funerals
At funerals, we give thanks for the life of a loved one and we commit them into God’s care.
The Rector and Assistant Clergy are pleased to lead a funeral service for anyone who lives in the parish, irrespective of whether they were churchgoers or not.
We understand that some deaths can be traumatic, distressing, or unexpected. The Church has special funerals for children, or after sudden or violent deaths, including suicide. Please talk to us about what is possible.
You can choose whether the service takes place in the church (followed by burial or cremation) or at a crematorium. If you choose to have your loved one’s ashes buried in our churchyard it is beautiful and well maintained.
Please ask your funeral director to contact the Rector to discuss arrangements.
Our clergy and Pastoral Assistant are trained to support individuals and families through times of bereavement. Please do contact us. We are here to help.
